In this paragraph Shelly uses personification and hyperbole to give a strong effect to what he is saying aswell as making it slightly sarcastic and have a sense of humor . He uses personification where he says that the mountains actually “kiss the heavens and the sunlight clasps the earth” mountains don’t actually kiss the heavens but because he uses natural elements to describe the actions of what he would like to do to the girl , it has a strong effect of what and how the girl might think and some what even change the way she thinks completely he uses hyperbole when he talks about them not being together is almost unnatural because all these other natural elements are together so why can’t they be. Them not being together isn’t unnatural but it’s sort of a sarcastic joke which is a way of loring her in . The fact that he uses personification and hyperbole in this poem changes the way the girl original throughly about him

Christopher mccandlesses parents offered to purchase him a new car and he declined the offer. The reason he declined the offer was because of his belief in what life is. Christopher mcnadless doesn’t believe in material objects, he doesn’t believe In the thought of money or status . He believes that everyone is equal and there is no meaning to money, he believes that the people around him are caught up into society. His view is that the common people don’t understand the true meaning of life and what it is to be human and he is the only person who genuinely understands . That’s the whole reason why he decided to go into the wild . But the significant reason he declined the car offer is because he doesn’t believe in material objects or looking good to make an impression, he only sees the practicality of objects and is satisfied with them.
- When Christopher Mandles was away for a month it deveatatded his father franz he couldn’t go a day withough thinking about Christopher. Then suddenly Christopher makes a phone call to franz after a whole month. When he call franz he uses a simile to describe his joy for Christopher’s voice . He describes ha voice as it being sunshine after a month of rain. In this sentence he he describes the feeling of hearing his voice as sunshine which the Symbol sunshine usually indicates good or positive thinks. This emphasizes his joy and feeling he gets when hearing Christopher’s voice. Franz finishes the sentence with “after a month of rain”. This tells us his grief of Christopher’s absence and how much he missed Christopher, it also strengthens his feeling of his sadness.
In the beginning of the novel “the strange case of Dr Jekyll and me Hyde ” Jekyll (the main character) is describe very thouroly as a large, well -made, smooth-faced man of fifty, with something of a slyish cast perhaps, but every mark of capacity and kindness. The author Stevenson describes him as well made because of the way Jekyll is dressed and the way he presents himself to people . Stevenson describes him as a smooth – faces man of fifty because he look quite young and healthy with a vibrant look to his face. He also appears to look quite shady and unsettling but yet he is still a very kind man.
utterson’s opinion of Hyde is that he’s quite a gullible person because he thinks that Jekyll is getting blackmailed by Hyde . But little does utterson know Jekyll and Hyde are the same exact person with two sides good and evil. So the fact that utterson sees Jekyll as being blackmailed shows how Jekyll is shown as being in conflict with himself . utterson tells Jekyll that he doesn’t like his “friends feverish manner”. This quotation shows that utterson thinks that Hyde is bad news to Jekyll and he is trying to warn him. Stevenson uses a language device in this quote called alliteration . Alliteration draws the attention of the reader to the line, it therefore emphasises the text in that line .
lanyon is so discusted my what he had seen Jekyll do that he dies from natural cause of shock and horror . Lanyon sat down and watch Jekyll transform from Hyde back to Jekyll just by drinking a potion. Lanyon was surprised at the self conflict the Jekyll had with his other side (Hyde) and it realy destutbed him .

Which most disturbed people are . It also referred to his health when Stevenson said that he looks deadly sick
