He believes that everyone is equal and there is no meaning to money, he believes that the people around him are caught up into society. His view is that the common people don’t understand the true meaning of life and what it is to be human and he is the only person who genuinely understands . That’s the whole reason why he decided to go into the wild . But the significant reason he declined the car offer is because he doesn’t believe in material objects or looking good to make an impression, he only sees the practicality of objects and is satisfied with them.
